Course overview

These are the required courses a security guard must complete in order to receive a California Guard Registration Card (Guard Card). California law requires all security guards to be licensed through the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The license is called a Guard Registration Card, or “Guard Card” for short.

3 Lessons
The first section is called WMD, or Weapons of Mass Destruction. And that first section is composed largely of videos which were produced for this particular purpose by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

And once you finished the WMD portion, then the second portion of the course is called Powers to Arrest.
